| Ruby Amberina Stretch: Ruby glass, which contains pure gold, is sprayed with metallic salts to become iridized. Then the finisher reheats the glass, reshapes it, and blows or presses it into the mould. When glass cools, reheats, and is reshaped, it stretches. The iridized portion spreads out on the glass creating striations that are not iridized. The effect is a spectrum of color with a flower petal like texture. |
